Beaudry RV Company Introduces New RV Storage Facility at Beaudry RV Resort

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Tucson, AZ. Beaudry RV Company introduces new storage facility and idea at Beaudry RV Resort. Many RV owners worry about off-site seasonal storage for their RVs. Today’s RVs are filled with sever battery-operated systems. If the battery dies, getting systems working again can cost upwards of $2,000.00. Beaudry RV Resort has remedied that problem by offering unoccupied storage right in the resort itself, where RV owners can leave their RVs plugged in and batteries charging for $120.00 per month. As of now, there are 100 sites available for unoccupied storage.

Off-site storage is also available and runs $90.00/month but does not offer plug-in opportunities. The additional $30.00 for unoccupied storage goes not only towards charging batteries or running A/C systems, it also offers added convenience. While parks are stocking up on Park Models, which act like mini-homes for baby boomers to relax in, Beaudry RV’s system turns the RV into a condo of sorts that owner can visit at any time. Owners are welcome to come out and use the storage at any point for the prevailing day rates. When the owner leaves, the rates return to $4.00/day.

“We set up this system for owners to store their RVs in the off-season,” says Dennis Shew of Beaudry RV Company. “It’s a win-win situation for everyone. Unoccupied storage allows us to offer services to our customers year-round and our RV owners can be confident their RVs will be up, running and ready to go whenever they show up.”

Unoccupied storage is only offered during the off-season, which runs from May through Thanksgiving. Owners are welcome to store the RV year-round, however the rates of storage during the peak winter months will reflect daily pricing, currently at $34.95/day.

Beaudry RV Company has been a leader in the RV Industry for over 40 years. Their customer service, parts department and summer events set them apart from other RV companies. They carry an extensive selection RVs, travel trailers, fifth wheels and more.

Consumer Demand Continues to Increase for RVs and Fifth Wheels

Friday, June 25th, 2010

Consumer demand for RVs and fifth wheels is up. Dealerships across the country are reporting increased sales numbers and it appears the trend has gone nationwide with numbers consistently increasing throughout 2010. 2009 marked the worst of the recession, with 2005 being one of the peak sales years for RV sales.

The Recreational Vehicle Industry Association recently published Dr. Richard Curtain’s analysis of the coming years and what it means for the RV Industry. Curtain is projecting a 39% gain over 2009 with over 249,700 shipments. Dealers are re-stocking inventory for the summer months and while consumer confidence isn’t back to pre-recession highs, it is slowly re-emerging.

Curtain warns the road ahead will be slow with ups and downs unlike the quick recoveries seen in the past. Consumers are beginning to spend again, but most are looking for good deals and spending cautiously. However, with new lightweight technology and fuel-efficient models hitting the market, the RV industry has been targeting a younger generation for sales and they are responding. Towables and lightweight trailers have been some of the top sellers in the market this year.

Class A RVs and Fifth Wheel Camper sales are also up, with high-end vehicle sales continuing to grow over the course of the year. Ads by GoRving.com have helped consumers associate RV travel with affordability and family values. Their collection of furry critters have touched a cord with audiences of all ages and the wide exposure during epic events such as The Olympics and NASCAR didn’t hurt.

Class A RVs generally cost over $100,000 for a new model while top of the line models can cost upwards of $2 million. By comparison, travel trailers can be had for under $20,000. It’s the wide range of variety and prices that appeals to all income levels. Fifth wheel campers range right in the middle of the road around $50,000, give or take. Fifth Wheel Campers have added luxury and the benefit of being able to leave the camper at the campgrounds while still having a truck to explore town.

No matter whether you prefer traveling with all the comforts of home including flat screen TV, shower, bath, marble counter tops and cherry wood finishes, or having a camper on wheels that provides a place to sleep and a toilet, there is an RV for everyone.

Oftentimes the love for RVing is instilled during childhood when families hit the road and explore some of the country’s greatest scenery, including National Parks like Yellowstone and Glacier National Park and state parks. There is a sense of adventure boarding an RV for the first time. There is no end of options of where you can go.

The word free has always been important to Americans, but making that freedom a reality by being able to step into a home on wheels and travel to anywhere in the country is what makes RVing a lifestyle more and more people are adopting.

Where Do RV Dealer Alliances Fall?

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Some people claim RV Dealers work for the manufacturers. After all, the manufacturers supply their products and in order to maintain a good relationship with the manufacturer, RV Dealers need to sell their products. However, if an RV dealer ignores his/her alliance to the customer, ultimately they will be sinking their dealership. In an industry like RVing, customers are the bread and butter. Those that buy one RV generally buy another one in their lifetime. RVing is a lifestyle that millions of Americans enjoy, however RV enthusiasts have thousands of dealerships to choose from.

Customers drive almost every business. Customer needs drive the types of RVs and motorhomes that are made. For example, manufacturers are now designing lightweight travel trailers and more fuel-efficient models of RVs in response to customer demand. Customers have quite a bit of pull with the RV Industry whether or not they know it. Therefore, dealerships that respond only to manufacturers needs and pushing higher end sales are going to alienate the very people they need to survive.

Dealers do have a need to sell vehicles. If they don’t sell, they don’t make money and they are out of business. However, keeping customers happy keeps them coming back. Next time they may buy a more expensive model, or they may buy another new RV. If a customer wasn’t satisfied the first time, they won’t be back.

The biggest challenge for any successful dealership is understanding their consumer. They need to know how people are searching for RVs, what types of RVs are currently the most popular and how to get noticed above their competition. Once they have this figured out, success is pretty much guaranteed.

On a local level, many companies have get-togethers, informal BBQs or concerts, or even host RV shows in an attempt to stay current with their customer. Making the customer happy makes the customer return. It’s simple.

Staying in touch with buyers nationally is just as important as doing it locally. With the Internet, dealers have access to buyers across the country. By giving them the best deals, they’ve just increased the amount of units they can sell.

When the customer feels like they are the dealership’s number one priority, they will return. They will return for parts and service and they will return with new sales. Not to mention how critical positive word of mouth is to dealers. The more a person talks, the more likely other people are to get interested and bring their business to that RV.

Creating the best experience they can is going to spread the word about the dealership and soon they’ll be so busy they won’t have time to think about who they are supposed to be pleasing, they’ll be doing it automatically and creating a strong customer base for the future.

Beaudry RV Company Announces New Trends for RV Traders Online

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

Phoenix, AZ. Beaudry RV announces new trends for RV traders online. Gone are the days of paying for expensive ads to try to sell an RV. Today there is an on-line community of RV traders that are buying and selling RVs in new and creative ways. With so many social media options available, trading RV has become a relatively inexpensive and rewarding process.

There are hundreds of local and national places where RV traders can go to sell their RVs, or trade their RVs, but when RV owners are serious about selling, they have to find ways for their RVs to stand out. One of those ways is to start blogging about RVs. When people start to associate sellers with being experts in their fields, they the seller is able to set prices and inspire confidence in potential buyers.

Tweeting about RV deals will also get the word out there. Twitter is a social media source that uses a limited number of characters to convey messages. Sending out a Tweet such as ‘RV for Sale, or RV Trade’ isn’t going to bring a lot of attention. But if the seller tweets ‘RV Sale, one day only, highest bid wins,’ then talk will start to happen.

The best sellers understand that service is about providing something of value to the customer. Whether that something is a good financial deal, or a free guided tour around the city, sellers are getting creative in the incentives they offer.

Consignment dealers are often employed for their extensive advertising budget and built in fan base. Using a trusted name is guaranteed to help sell a vehicle as ‘browsers’ often return to a site they like over and over until they see something that suits their taste.

“RV traders online aren’t worried about their ad going out of print,” says Scott Beaudry of Beaudry RV Company, “they are worried about being one step behind the other sellers as far as technological awareness and ability to reach the largest audience possible.”

Beaudry RV Company has been a leader in the RV Industry for over 40 years. Their customer service, parts department and summer events set them apart from other RV companies.

RV Traders Online Reaching Wider Audiences for RV Sales

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

It can be expensive to try to sell RVs through traditional media. The cost of advertising space in a newspaper or magazine can cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars depending on where you live. Listing a classified ad is a lot cheaper, but can easily get lost among all the other vehicles for sale. There are better ways to get noticed and that’s online.

The Internet offers so many ways for RV traders and sellers to reach their audience. All it takes is a little knowledge and some trial and error before they can find their niche of buyers and other like-minded traders.

One of the first ways to reach people is through blogging. Setting up your own blog is a worth endeavor if you plan on trading for years. Blogs do take time for people to notice. However, you can also go to popular blogs and leave a comment. That way thousands of people who are already interested in the topic at hand can read your comment. Some sites will even link back to your website where you can have your information ready to go.

Twitter had become the latest social media craze. It seems everyone has something to Tweet about. It’s a great method for reaching people because it is free, it doesn’t take very long to send out a Tweet and if people are interested, the feedback is almost instant. A lot of businesses are using Twitter to promote their products, but they don’t understand that most consumers don’t care about the Tweets unless there is an incentive for them in it. So if you decide to Tweet, consider sending out something that will get people interested in your sale: ‘Vintage Airstream On Sale for One Day ONLY” might get more attention than ‘RV For Sale.’

What customers are craving in this impersonal world is customer service. They want a company that understands them and will go out of their way to make their experience a good one. So you have to figure out what you’re offering potential buyers that none of your competitors are offering.

Another option for RV traders or sellers online to consider is working with a consignment dealer. Consignment dealers have experience and a pretty big money allotment for advertising. They can often help people sell toy haulers faster than they would be able to on their own.

Liking what you do is also important. If you are passionate about what you’re selling or trading, other people will be too. Enthusiasm is infectious. Spread it around on the Internet and see what comes back to you.

Figuring out who wants the information you have is another key factor in being able to consistently sell and trade on-line for good prices. Know the age of the people that are most likely to buy your RV or travel trailer, then spend some time researching where they are looking to not only buy but get information about the vehicle.

Advertising in newspapers is slowly becoming a thing of the past. Today, consumers are savvier than they were in the past. They can compare prices on-line. Dealers who have fly-and-buy programs where they pay for plane tickets for guests buying an RV are reaching a national, even global market. What are you doing to compete?
