3 Reasons 5th Wheel Trailers Were Made for Retirement

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Retirement should be enjoyable. It should be relaxing and it should be fun. 5th wheel trailers were designed to make retirement enjoyable. If you have questions on which RV is best for you, then here are three reasons 5th wheels are ideal for retirement.

#1 Full Kitchen for Long Trips
Anytime you go on vacation for more than a few days, fast food can get old fast. Even going out to restaurants every night gets old, not to mention expensive. With a full kitchen, you can eat out when you feel like it and cook when you feel like it. Your fifth wheel trailer will have:

  • Refrigerator
  • Cabinets
  • Stove
  • Microwave
  • Outlets for Additional Appliances (coffee pot, mixer, toaster)

#2 Extended Road Trip Capabilities
When you retire, you have the option of going away for a month or more and a 5th wheel makes it easy. First, you can detach your trailer and take your truck around town. This makes sightseeing and grocery shopping so much easier.

Next, you can add a washer/dryer to your fifth wheel. This means when you go on extended road trips you don’t have to stop at expensive laundry mats. Better yet, you don’t have to find one at all. Plus, you can take as little or as much clothes as you want since you can do the wash whenever you have hookups.

#3 Your Own Room
Whether you are camping or staying in a hotel room, each new destination requires packing and unpacking. When you travel around in your very own RV, this is not an issue. You take your bed, clothes, food and everything else with you. The most you have to do is stow the stairs, put away the awning and replace the sliders. Still this is nothing compared to waking up early to pack everything in the car because check out is at noon.

These are just three reasons why the 5th wheel was made for retirement. Come down to Beaudry RV and find out for yourself why they are ideal for retirees.

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

For many people, the lure of the ultimate tailgate is what drives people to purchase the 5th wheel toy hauler. You get the best of both worlds when you pull up to tailgate in your own luxury 5th wheel. You can go outside to bar-be-cue like no one else and then head inside when the sun starts blaring down.

However, if you want to pull off the ultimate tailgate, then you will need a few tips.

Achieving the Right Smell
Part of the allure of bar-be-cuing is the distinctive smell. Some people like the smell of charcoal and others like to let the meat do the work. However, if you want to draw a crowd, then you have to get some wood chips.

  • Soak the wood chips in water for at least an hour.
  • Place the chips directly on the coals or on a lower rack for propane.

Unique Foods
Everyone goes for hamburgers, hot dogs, and bratwursts. Therefore, you need to get something unique to cook. If you happen to hunt, then take your fresh deer meat and hit the grill. Otherwise, go out and hunt down this meat.

This stew recipe will have the people coming in from all around. It is easy and you can place it on your grill as you cook other items.

Ingredients:
